Next month, we get to honor the other half of our biological equation when we celebrate Father’s Day. I remember an early episode of the Cosby Show when Cliff was telling his wife about the lame present he had received from his children. Whenever I watch that episode, I think about how most dads do get a bit of a raw deal. We have flowers, candles and even chocolates that we can send to Mom. The reason we can do this is because women generally speak their mind about their likes and dislikes. Dads don’t really do that, and as a result, we’re left to buy ties, socks and dress shirts. All useful items to be sure, but not really anything that speaks of the great respect we have for fathers. I decided this year I was going to do something different. I wanted to commemorate the job my dad had done with a special gift. I thought a ring celebrating his work was in order. So I did a search for jewelers newport beach and found some great items. I’ve seen him go without necessities so she could have a small luxury item. That’s the kind of man he was, and still is today. I can’t wait to watch him open his gift from his children and see the look on his face when he sees the new mens ring we bought him.
